FACEBOOK: Facebook is rolling out another update. The tweak shuffles where items appear on the timeline for more consistency. Users can now also “reply” to a specific post and have the reply appear under that post rather than chronologically within the comments.
|TWITTER: Companies and advertisers are trying to get everyone in the same conversation on Twitter by using “hashtags” for specific events and products. According to MarketingLand.com, 50% of this year’s Super Bowl commercials marketed a hashtag related to the advertised product. By comparison, Facebook pages were mentioned in only 8% of ads.|
|LINKEDIN: Engagement is getting a little easier on LinkedIn. Soon, account-holders will be notified whenever one of their personal or business connections “mentions” them. Similar features have long been available on Twitter and Facebook.|
