NISL Championship Match SetApril 6, 2009 (Chicago, IL)-The Rockford Rampage's semifinal victory in the National Indoor Soccer League left its players and coach ecstatic in front of 1,100 fans Sunday at the MetroCentre. The Rampage survived barrage after barrage by Monterrey La RaZa and struck when needed to earn a 2-0 victory in sudden-death overtime, advancing to the NISL Championship versus the top-seeded Baltimore Blast for the Final on Saturday, April 11. Game-time at 1st Mariner Arena is scheduled for 7:35 pm ET and can be heard live via webcast at www.WCBM.com.
The Baltimore Blast earned a first-round bye and automatic bid into the Final after finishing the inaugural season atop the League standings with a 14-4 overall record. Rockford and Monterrey ranked second and third, respectively, each posting a 10-8 mark. The Rampage forced the extra session in their contest after winning 9-6 in the second game of a home-and-home playoff series. La RaZa led after Thursday's 16-13 victory in Monterrey, Mexico, earlier in the week. The Blast won three of four meetings with the Rampage in their regular season series.

The National Indoor Soccer League (www.NISLnet.com) was launched in September of 2008 and consists of five founding members; the Baltimore Blast, La RaZa de Monterrey, Philadelphia KiXX, Rockford Rampage and the Massachusetts Twisters. The NISL kicked off its inaugural season on November 15th and has formed a working relationship with the United Soccer Leagues (USL) and has received provisional membership in the United States Soccer Federation (USSF).
