Omaha Vipers Transfer to PASL

May 5, 2011--5/5/11 - The Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL) announced today that the Omaha Vipers have joined the league for the 2011-12 season. The Vipers were an expansion team for the MISL's 2010-11 season and finished with a 7-13 record under Head Coach Marcelo Fontana, missing the playoffs by one game.

Omaha will continue to play its games at the Omaha Civic Auditorium, where they averaged 2,708 last season. The organization was recently purchased by Warren Ferris, who becomes majority owner and President of the team. "The Vipers have all the makings of a viable franchise in the PASL," said Ferris. "This is a good day for indoor soccer and the fans of the Omaha Vipers."

About the Professional Arena Soccer League
The PASL is a professional league which began play on October 25, 2008, having just completed its third season. It's affiliate the PASL-Premier just completed its 13th season as the nation's top amateur arena soccer league. The PASL and PASL-Premier are members of Federacion Internacional de Futbol Rapido (FIFRA). consisting of US teams, the CMISL (Canada), and the LMFR (Mexico). The PASL-Pro consists of US teams, the CMISL (Canada), and the LMFR (Mexico).
