MISL Legends Game
League showcases indoor soccer greats from an era gone by

The MISL Legends Game will showcase indoor soccer greats from an era gone by. The Legends Game will feature MISL Legends against the Cleveland Force Legends prior to the All-Star Game. Kick-off is scheduled for 1:30 p.m., EST.

Duo Branko Segota and Stan Terlecki will provide the offensive core for the MISL Legends. Segota ranks second in MISL career scoring while Terlecki is the MISL's single season goal leader. Kia Zolgharnain, Paul Child and Fred Grgurev will provide additional scoring punch to the front line.

Selected to share duties in net are goalkeepers Scott Manning and Slobo Illijevski. David Mackenzie, Kim Roentved, Mike Stankovic, Erich Geyer, Fernando Clavijo and Doc Lawson have been chosen as defenders.

Three current MISL coaches will strap on their shoes for the Legends Game including, 2000-2001 Coach of the Year Richard Chinapoo (Harrisburg Heat), Kansas City Comets coach Zoran Savic and Milwaukee Wave skipper Keith Tozer. Joining them will be Heat Vice President of Soccer Operations Jim Pollihan.

Kai Haaskivi headlines the Cleveland Force Legends and ranks second in MISL all-time career assists with 386. He will be joined by fellow former Force greats Simon Look, Mike Sweeney, Ali Kazemaini, Paul Kitson and Ulf Ryberg as forwards. George Nanchoff, Andy Chapman, Charlie Greene, Carl Valentine, Kevin Terry and Ruben Astigarraga will provide additional scoring to the offense.

Goalkeepers Chris Vaccaro and Jim May will be the tandem in goal for the Force Legends. Former force standout May stated, "There's a lot of excitement coming back to Cleveland to play in the inaugural Legends Game in front of our fans. It's a great opportunity to showcase the new league and its new direction with friends and MISL legends…some of the greatest indoor players of all-time."

The dynamic defense of Wayne Jentas, Walter Schlothauer, Bernie James, Trever Dawkins, Benny Dargle, Dave Grimaldi and Joe Raduka rounds out the back line.

The inaugural Legends Game is a celebration of the rich history of the MISL and the pioneers of the sport. This event will be fun for the entire family.
