AISL Champs’ NISL Home Opener this Saturday
(Cleveland, OH)—The 2007 AISL Champion Massachusetts Twisters host their National Indoor Soccer League home opener this Saturday, December 6th, when the Philadelphia KiXX come to town. Tickets can be purchased at www.masstwisters.com or by calling 413-569-0088.
The Twisters play their home games at the 5,500 seats Eastern States Coliseum, which has been the home of the team for its previous six seasons in the American Indoor Soccer League. The NISL features the Baltimore Blast, the 2008 MISL champion, the Philadelphia Kixx, la Raza de Monterrey (Mexico), the Rockford Rampage and Twisters. Many of the top indoor players in the world play in the NISL, including stars such as Denison Cabral (Baltimore), Jamar Beasley (Rockford), Genoni Martinez (Monterrey), and Pete Pappas (Philadelphia).
All five members of the NISL have been champions of their respective former leagues. The Baltimore Blast are five-time champions, having most recently won the 2008 MISL title after defeating Monterrey in a nationally televised game last April on Fox Soccer Channel. Philadelphia and Monterrey also hale from the former MISL, and Rockford played last year in the AISL.

About the NISL
- Each NISL team will play an 18-game schedule (nine home games/nine away games) beginning in mid-November and concluding the first weekend in April.
- The NISL will use the same rules as the MISL which featured a multiple-point scoring system, four 15-minute quarters and unlimited substitutions.
- The top three teams in the NISL will advance to the 2009 postseason with the first-place team earning a bye into the Championship Game which they will host. The second- and third-place teams will play each other in a home-and-home series with the winner advancing to the Championship Game.
