USIndoor Announces Conference Social Events
WASHINGTON, DC (May 1, 2008)–The Eighth Annual USIndoor Facility Operators Conference, June 25-29 in Alexandria, VA, will include two social events on Saturday evening and one on Sunday afternoon. Saturday’s events (6/28) include a choice of (1) a Potomac River Dinner Cruise or (2) a Dinner Party and Fun in Georgetown—Washington DC’s most famous hotspot. Sunday’s excursion (6/29) is to another Washington institution–RFK Stadium–where two of soccer’s biggest superstars, David Beckham and Landon Donovan, will battle it out on the pitch as Major League Soccer’s DC United takes on the LA Galaxy. Saturday’s Potomac River Cruise features Washington ’s most famous fine-dining cruise ship, Nina's Dandy. Embarking from the docks in Old Town Alexandria (VA), guests will enjoy mingling with their USIndoor friends as they cruise down the picturesque Potomac River, taking in Washington , DC 's famous skyline. Nina’s Dandy will meander past all of Washington 's most treasured monuments, including the Washington Monument and Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials. The Cruise includes a five-course meal and dancing after dinner. Said USIndoor’s Vice President of Services, Shaine Anderson, “Nina’s Dandy will be an experience attendees will never forget. Take it from a Washington native: This is the best way to see the monuments!” Saturday’s other option, the Georgetown Dinner Party and Fun, will start with a barbecue feast atop one of Georgetown ’s most renowned establishments, Old Glory. Thereafter, attendees can venture out among a plethora of restaurants, bars and entertainment venues in Washington ’s most famous neighborhood and nightspot. From the relaxing, subdued atmosphere of a piano bar, to a high-energy nightclub, Georgetown has options to fit everyone’s tastes. On Sunday, USIndoor attendees won’t want to miss the chance to see some of soccer's biggest stars, including one of the world's best players, David Beckham, battle it out at RFK Stadium in a Major League Soccer marquee matchup. The day will start with a buffet lunch in RFK's VIP restaurant, the Champion's Club, overlooking the field. Guests will then take their seats in the lower bowl as DC United takes on the LA Galaxy in the United’s biggest game of the season. “For soccer fans, to see the likes of David Beckham and Landon Donovan play is monumental.
