American Indoor Soccer League Releases 2005-06 Schedule
AISL
commissioner Paul LaPointe has announced the league's 2005-06 lineup
of teams and official schedule.
As
in 2004-05, the AISL will feature four member clubs: the defending
league champion Detroit/Windsor Border Stars, the Cincinnati Excite,
the Massachusetts Twisters and the league's newest member in Chicago.
The
2005-06 campaign, which will kick off on Saturday night, December
10th when the Cincinnati Excite will host the Massachusetts Twisters,
will run until March 11th.
The league's format for 2005-06 will have the Border Stars and Excite
play four home and four road games each. The Twisters and the new
Chicago entry will play a limited schedule of two home and two road
games.
"With
the rapid growth of the AISL with new teams in Memphis and other
markets to be announced next season, having the Chicago team at
full speed, and with new management for the Twisters, all member
clubs will be playing a full league schedule for 2006-07,"
said LaPointe.
