PASL All-Stars to Play Exhibition vs. Milwaukee Wave
The
Premier Arena Soccer League will play the MISL’s
Milwaukee Wave in a school-day exhibition in Milwaukee
on December 21. The PASL is in its seventh year and said to feature
50 teams in six regions throughout the U.S. and Canada. The PASL
claims up-and-coming indoor soccer players, as well as veterans
of the MISL, and a few PASL players have gone on to play stints
in the MISL. On October 29, the Cincinnati Excite
of the American Indoor Soccer League played the
St. Louis Steamers in St. Louis. (The Steamers
won 10-1.)
The
10:35 am game at the U.S. Cellular Arena will combine
the students’ interests in soccer and education. CNI Newspapers
will be the Wave’s curriculum partner in this endeavor. Fans can
expect fast-paced action showcasing the skills of premier indoor
soccer players from around the globe. Participating schools will
be visited by Wave players in the month before the game when players
will discuss the values of education and how it applies to their
life and sports. The Wave and CNI Newspapers will also have informational
booths set up to promote educational values.
“We’ve
had tremendous support from schools for this game,” Mike
Lafferty said. “With just a month to go, we’re getting
close to filling the U.S. Cellular Arena.” For more information
and to purchase tickets, visit the team’s website at www.MilwaukeeWave.com
or call 414-224-WAVE (9283).
