Shaine Anderson
Mrs. Shaine Anderson was added to USIndoor's staff as its Vice President of Services in June of 2006. With ten years of association management experience, and having earned the prestigious distinction of Certified Association Executive (CAE) in 2004, Mrs. Anderson's main goal is to help move the association forward, improving the current services that the association provides to its members, while also planning and implementing new programs. "The addition of Mrs. Anderson is a reflection of the growth that the association has seen in the first six years in its existence, and her hire marks an important milestone in the association's history. All USIndoor members and supporters should be proud that we have reached this critical juncture," remarked USIndoor President, Don Shapero.
Following her graduation from James Madison University, Mrs. Anderson began her association career in 1996, working for the largest association management firm in the country, Smith Bucklin & Associates. After a year in their public relations department, she was promoted to work on the staff of two associations - the Southern Cemetery Association and the National Association of Health Care Access Managers. In 1998, Shaine moved on to Sufka & Associates- another association management firm - and was appointed their Director of Communications, where she planned over ten annual meetings and conferences for multiple association clients. In 1999, at the age of 26, she was promoted to Executive Director of Sufka's largest client, the National Air Duct Cleaners Association, becoming their youngest Executive ever hired. In 2001, Mrs. Anderson made the decision to pursue her master's degree at Virginia Tech and simultaneously worked for Management Options as an Executive Director of one of their association clients - the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys. In 2003, she decided to leave association management companies and begin working for a larger, "captive" association with its own, dedicated staff. She joined the staff of the American Composites Manufacturers Association, where she worked for three years as their Director of Membership, managing a team of five staff members.
In addition to her association management experience, Mrs. Anderson is no stranger to the sport of soccer. Growing up in Northern Virginia, she played soccer from the time she could kick a soccer ball, and grew up to play in the competitive travel leagues in the Northern Virginia area, competing against the likes of such future soccer legends as Mia Hamm. In her senior year of high school, Anderson earned the distinction of "First Team All District," and she went on to play club soccer at James Madison University.
Mrs. Anderson resides in Arlington, Virginia, with her husband, Curt, and their one year old daughter, Eva.
